Olmoti Crater

Olmoti crater floor is shallow and covered with Tussocks of grass. Besides the presence of the Maasai and their livestock you can sometimes see Eland, Buffalo and the reedbuck. The Munge river or stream and its plummets down over the cliffs, falling some hundreds of metres in to the steep-sided ravine below. The walk to the side or bottom of these beautiful falls takes about 30 minutes to one hour down and back.

There are several routes for summiting Kilimanjaro however all routes provides beautiful sceneries to experience Kilimanjaro’s different vegetation zones as you trek up. While it is possible to summit for six (6) days, we native tours recommend 6 to 8days climbing to assist with altitude acclimatization.
